The very picturesque Sierra Brava offers the carp angler the opportunity for exciting and varied angling, a relatively young lake constructed in 1996 covers some 1650 hectares and is around 9 KM in length.

It offers a variation of features with large open bays and areas with sunken trees that provide perfect conditions for snag fishing.

This superb ´runs water´ is a partially stocked lake; it is stuffed with fish between 10lb to 40lb and has produced many fish over the 60lb mark.

It’s not uncommon to have up to 10 fish in a day session with the average being caught around 20lbs, there’s always that anticipation of a monster carp will flatten your rod whilst heading for freedom. We would expect most guests to land 30lb+ fish.

The Brava is a cracking winter venue, 17 runs to one angler in a single day session in February with fish to 35lb.

Sierra Brava is undoubtedly a classic example of what carp angling is all about in Extremadura, monster hard fighting Carp in prime condition, served up in a stunning environment, not to be missed by the serious carp angler.

Everything will be arranged for you from the moment you arrive in Spain, airport transfers in luxury air-conditioned vehicle and transport to proven productive swims in one of our 4x4 vehicles.

A full bank set up with top quality tackle and equipment will be provided, as well as an ample amount of quality particle and fresh frozen baits from Vital Baits.

Bivvy Package

On arrival in Extremadura, one of our 4x4 vehicles will transport you to proven productive swims where you can settle in for the duration, relax and enjoy the superb fishing. Cooking facilities will be provided and we will be on hand to deliver your bait, groceries and food to you on the bank. Accommodation on your final night is included in the price, if required, chill out and enjoy the local atmosphere over a few beers the night before your departure.

Sierra Brava Carp packages are available from September through to end of June, excluding April. We can accommodate anglers for July however; it gets very hot and uncomfortable.
